It’s all systems go for the Club Deise Preview Night for the Munster Hurling Championship which takes place in the Park Hotel on Thursday night next with matters getting under way at 8 p.m. As we outlined last week Club Déise has assembled a star studded line up for the event that should generate some great discussion, debate and perhaps even some controversy with well known pundits and former county stars on the panel.
Senior Hurling manager Paraic Fanning will be on board to give an update on how the panel fared on how training has been progressing and the injury situation with just over a week to go to the big game while Jamesie O’Connor will no doubt be outlining things from a Clare perspective without giving much away, I am sure. We can expect some very strong views on the championship scene from Cork’s Donal O’Grady , Limerick’s Ollie Moran and our own Ken McGrath while Babs Keating is a man never found wanting when it comes to shooting from the shoulder.
The genial Kieran O’Connor will, no doubt, draw the best out of all the participants when he gets things underway at 8 p.m. Tickets are still on sale from Club Déise outlets including Harvey Travel, Waterford, The Granville Hotel and David Walsh Office Supplies Dungarvan at €20 each with all monies going to support all Waterford county teams.
