WATERFORD man, Páraic Hayes who is President of IDA’s US West Coast operations, recently won a prestigious ITLG Silicon Valley Global Award.

The Irish Technology Leadership Group (ITLG) is a non-profit organisation comprised of senior executives from some of the world’s leading corporations, committed to promoting the technology connection between Ireland, Silicon Valley and the USA.

The awards honoured top Irish and Irish-American executives making a significant impact in their field.

Páraic is the son of former two time Mayor Pat Hayes, who stepped down from politics in 2013 following 22 years. A graduate of Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT), Páraic studied international marketing and languages.

He has spent nine years advising leading companies from across the US on global expansion projects. Páraic acts as VP Consumer Technology and Business Services in San Francisco and was VP Life Sciences in Chicago for a number of years. He also spent 10 years in marketing and consultancy roles within the technology, financial, and software services sector across Europe.
