Aisling Moloney from Abbeyside who has joined RTE’s news2day, a news programme designed for children.

 

Congratulations to Aisling Moloney from Abbeyside, Dungarvan who has secured a frontline spot as a presenter on news2day, RTÉ’s news television programme designed specifically for children.

The programme features Irish and international news of interest to a young audience. Following a call out to media and journalism graduates across the country, and a comprehensive audition process, Aisling was chosen to join the team and began broadcasting live last week on RTÉ2 and RTÉ News Now.

Aisling studied journalism and new media at University of Limerick. During her time there, she worked for The Daily Mail newspaper in London, and also studied at an Australian University, where she had the opportunity to travel throughout Western Australia.

After finishing her degree, Aisling worked with Limerick’s Live 95FM and The Sunday Business Post. Aisling attended Scoil Mhuire National School in Abbeyside and St. Augustine’s College. She loves baking, photography and making videos.
