WITH Culture Night across the country taking place on Friday, September 20, Tramore is gearing up to launch a trail leading to cultural hotspots across the town. Local writer and musician, Derek Flynn has launched ‘Trá Trails’, a cultural trail making its way towards the top of the town, taking in stories, poetry, songs and drinks along the way.

Beginning with a performance in Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens at 5:30pm where Japanese Folk Tales will be recited, the cultural trail moves on to The Meeting Place for a series of short plays at 6:30pm. Local entertainment hive, Martha’s will host stories and songs from 7:30pm before the grand finale in Croke’s Pub from 8:30pm with Trá Tales.

Winding uphill all evening from 5:30pm, all are encouraged to take part and join the cultural trail as it weaves its way through the streets and roads. This is the first event of its kind in Tramore and all events are completely free so large numbers are expected. These events complement the range of events taking place across the county and country on Friday, September 20.
