I LOVE to order spicy chicken wings when I am out, I think there is something satisfying getting every last morsel of chicken from those tiny wings, and dipping them into a cooling blue cheese dip. But why wait until you are in a restaurant? Wings are really cheap to buy either in the butcher or in the supermarket, so give them a go yourself at home, you will be surprised how easy and tasty they are!
16 chicken wings
4 tbsp. Hot Sauce
6 tbsp. soya sauce
1 tbsp. groundnut oil
2 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. sesame seeds
Salt and pepper
In a bowl mix together the soya sauce with the hot sauce, oil and honey. Wash and dry the wings, then season well with salt and pepper. Add the wings to the marinade and leave in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Place the wings on a non stick baking tray and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
Place in a preheated oven at 180oC for 30 minutes until golden brown and crispy, then remove.
Sprinkle with the chopped chives and serve.
Blue Cheese Dip
150g blue cheese
1 tbsp. white wine vinegar
300g Crème fraîche
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Simply place all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk well until completely combined. Serve with the wings.
