Dunmore East and all of county Waterford should be basking in the sunshine this week according to Met Eireann.

We’re all being told to use our holidays and not hold them over till all this is over…..so now’s your chance.

The weather this week is set to be smashing with temperatures to go over 20 degrees on a number of days. Here’s what Met.ie says about the week ahead…

This morning will start off with some low cloud, mist and fog clearing. But overall today will be dry with sunny spells. Warm also, with highs of 18 to 22 degrees in a light variable breeze.

Dry tonight with clear spells and some mist and fog patches. Lows of 8 to 10 degrees, in a light variable breeze.

Low on Tuesday and Wednesday

High on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Dry with long sunny spells tomorrow. Feeling very warm, with highs of 20 to 24 degrees in light variable winds.

SUMMARY: Dry for the rest of the week with lengthy spells of sunshine. Very warm with maximum temperatures in the low to mid 20s.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Dry overnight, with lows of 9 to 11 degrees. Some mist and fog patches in slack winds, most likely in the northwest.

THURSDAY: Warm and dry with lengthy spells of hazy sunshine. A little cloudier at times through Ulster with mist or fog lingering on some coasts here. Maximum temperatures 21 to 25 degrees, in a light southeasterly breeze.

FRIDAY: Warm and dry again, with hazy sunshine. Cloud may thicken in the west later. Maximum tempertuares of 19 to 24 degrees in light to moderate southeasterly winds.

SATURDAY and SUNDAY: Generally dry with long sunny spells. A little cloudier in western counties with a slight chance of drizzle on coasts, but mostly dry here too. Continuing warm in all areas with maximum temperatures 19 to 24 degrees in light winds.
