TODAY’S temperatures are set to hit the soaring heights of 25 degrees Celsius. In many areas, it is expected to be the hottest day of the year so far.
With many sunseekers likely to head for the nearest beach, Met Éireann has advised caution as the heat of the day progresses, with risks of localised flooding and a repeat of recent thunder and lightning activity.
Very high pollen count is advised for today and tomorrow.
The nationwide yellow warning is in place until tomorrow morning.
