IN a delightful blend of faithful historical research, and horticulture, Cian Manning has delved into the life of Waterford’s J. Lionel Richardson, late of Prospect Hall, close to Richardson’s Mews.

The success of Richardson’s award winning daffodils, saw 100,000 bulbs growing in the gardens, putting Kilcohan on the international map.

In this slideshow, with content and voiceover by Waterford historian, Cian Manning, Richardson’s legacy is brought forward into the present, ensuring that he remains an ever-present reminder of Waterford’s role in international horticulture.
