As expected, the CCCC of the Waterford County Board has responded to last week’s decision by Croke Park to bring the date for the resumption of club competitions forward by one week to Friday 24th July by following suit with the opening round of the J. J. Kavanagh & Sons Senior Hurling Championship. As a result, the three rounds of Group games will now be played over three weekends instead of two, something that will be welcomed by the clubs outside of the top seeds who were facing a situation of having to play two Group games inside three or four days.
The dates and venues for all of the games have been announced and, as expected, all games will be played in Fraher Field and Walsh Park to comply with Social Distancing and the protocols involved with the reopening in accordance with medical advice. It will be noted that all games are stand alone fixtures with no double headers in order to make Social Distancing at the games easier.
The dates for the quarter finals, semi-finals and final stand as originally set out for August 16th, 23rd and 30th respectively. All knockout games will be played to a conclusion on the day and in the event of penalties being required after inconclusive extra time the clubs have been notified of the regulations and conditions, applicable in that regard, in great detail.
The dates and venues for all of the fixtures are as follows.

Round 2 – Sunday August 2nd at Fraher Field 6 p.m. Passage V Tallow.
