Significant works will be undertaken in Tramore town centre over the autumn and winter.

Waterford City & County Council is to close a section of Tramore’s Main Street between the Market Street, Queens Street and Broad Street junction from Saturday, August 4 to Tuesday, November 24. This is to facilitate main drainage, work on a new watermain in addition to road resurfacing.

Diversion routes cited by the Council during the works are as follows:
* L41164 Market Street

* L4162 Church Road

* L4162 Gallweys Hill

* R682 Priests Road/Old Waterford Road

* R675 Ring Road

* L4162 Lower Branch Road and the

* L4162 Turkey Road.

A further significant closure in Tramore is also due to come into effect on Wednesday, August 19 through to Wednesday, February 10, 2021 to facilitate further main drainage and road resurfacing works. This will lead to the closures of Main Street (L4116), Market Street (L41164), Strand Street (L4116), Broad Street (L8085) and Queens Street (L4163).

Diversion routes will include the following:

* L4162 Church Road

* L80853 Little Market Street

* R682 Priests Road

* R682 Old Waterford Road

* L8083 Pond Road

* L4162 Upper Branch Road

* L4162 Turkey Road and

* L4162 Gallweys Hill.

Any objections or submissions can be made in writing to Fergus Galvin, the Council’s Roads Director of Services at City Hall, Waterford by no later than 4pm on Wednesday, August 5.
