Reigning Waterford senor and All-Ireland intermediate champions, Gailltír, are back in another county final after they overcame a resilient Tramore at the WIT Arena this afternoon.

Tramore have made great strides this season after coming up from the intermediate grade but in the end they couldn’t cause a huge upset against Gailltír.

By the first water break it was Gailltír who led on a score of 1-5 to 0-2 with the goal coming from Annie Fitzgerald.

Aoife Fitzgerald added a second goal for Gailltír in the second quarter to see them lead at the midway point on a score of 2-7 to 0-2.

Things looked as though Gailltír would coast to victory from here but it wasn’t to be as it was Tramore who were the better side in the second-half as they outscored Gailltír by 0-5 to 0-1.

At the full-time whistle the champions won out on a score of 2-8 to 0-7.

In the Hooper Dolan County Junior semi-finals, Abbeyside won an absolute cracker on a scoreline of 4-9 to 3-11, while in the other last four decider it was Brickey Rangers who ran out easy winners on a score of 1-13 to 0-4.
