ST Angela’s School, Ursuline Convent has become the latest secondary school in Waterford city to have a confirmed case of Covid-19.

In a message sent to parents and guardians Mrs Bernadette McGlynn, Principal of the girl’s secondary school on the Ballytruckle Road confirmed the case. She stated that, “All HSE guidelines have been followed and school will continue as normal.”

The Principal added that students have received a document outlining additions to the school’s Code of Behaviour. She encouraged parents to take some time to read through this and discuss personal responsibility. “There is enough space in school at lunchtime for all students. Large groups at Centra is not safe,” Mrs McGlynn stated.
