IN a welcome development this morning Irish outsourcing company, Zevas Communications have announced that they are set to expand their operations into County Waterford, creating 30 jobs in a new hub in Dungarvan.
Established in 2001, Zevas employs 200 people across its Cork and Dublin campuses, and has some of the biggest tech companies in the world as clients.
Zevas have been strongly looking at a “hub strategy” for expansion since last year. Due to COVID challenges in urban centres, this plan has been fast tracked and the company is now ready to launch the first hub in Dungarvan.
Dungarvan displayed an array of positives, especially around work/life balance for employees that made the town extremely attractive for the expansion. Zevas plans to open further hubs in regional towns across the country.
“We developed this concept with a view to being able to scale in tandem with our global clients. The approach, though very powerful, is a simple one, we take the job to the talent in the community,” explains John O’Sullivan, Chief Operating Officer with Zevas.
The COO continued by saying; “The demand for our services continues to steadily grow. As we service client needs all across Europe, North America and Asia, we are excited to add to our team and we feel non-urban hubs are an excellent way to access top talent.”
As specialists in “Go To Market” design, outbound sales and inbound customer service management, Zevas pride themselves on being both “progressive and nimble”.” Having successfully executed a move to 100% cloud, we are now essentially limitless in our opportunities,” said David Cashman, Chief Commercial Officer at Zevas.
A resident of Dungarvan, Cashman is committed to finding the best talent possible. “Dungarvan is full of potential, this something we want to harness. At Zevas, we are characterised by our people, they are firmly our No 1 strength, and I’m looking forward to adding to this talented team. We have big plans and I’m excited for what we can do in the South East.”
The Mayor of the City and County of Waterford, Cllr Damien Geoghegan welcomed today’s announcement. Cllr Geoghegan, attending the press launch in Dungarvan, said “I welcome Zevas Communications to Dungarvan and welcome this significant jobs announcement. I am particularly heartened by the reasons for choosing Dungarvan as a location for expansion. The quality of life which Dungarvan and indeed all of Waterford offers is second to none and this announcement is living proof of what we have to offer in Waterford.”
