After last night’s meeting of the Waterford GAA CCC, ‘following advice from Croke Park’ referred the matter of the Co. IFC Final and the positive Covid-19 test to the full meeting of the Co. Board Management Executive tonight, the County Board have just issued a statement at the conclusion of that meeting. That statement reads:

Meanwhile, Dungarvan RFC have tonight suspended all activities due to a positive test in the club. They released the following statement this evening….

“Dungarvan Rugby Club has been made aware of a positive case of COVID-19 within our Men’s Senior playing group. The player involved is currently isolating and the club are following all HSE guidelines.
Contact tracing is underway and to date we have not been informed that any of our senior players are considered close contacts. As a further precaution we have suspended all senior activity for the next 48 hours.
All players have been advised to consult their local GP if concerned or worried at this time in line with Munster Rugby Guidelines.
The club or officials will be making no further comment at this time, please respect all involved.”
