Two more local soccer clubs have taken the decision to suspend club activities for the foreseeable future.
Carrick United’s statement reads, “Carrick United AFC will be closed to all training, matches and events for the foreseeable future. The club committee came to this decision, with the wellbeing of all being foremost in our minds .
At any given week at least 1,000 people pass through our gates and in the present situation, we cannot afford to put our community at any risk.
“So, we have taken the above decision. We hope all our players and mentors understand why we have to go this route, as we know everyone will be disappointed. We will reconsider if the HSE /Government are in a position to relax restrictions.
Stay Safe All.”
While, Ballinroad FC have also taken the decision to step back from club activities for the time being…the released the following statement….
Meanwhile, Abbeyside/Ballinacourty have also taken the decision to suspend club activities….
“Please note we have taken the decision to stop all collective training for Adult and Juvenile teams for the next five days at least. We urge all our members to follow all covid19 guidelines and especially to limit your number of social contacts.”
