ACROSS the globe – from the sunny climes of Australia, the faraway green land of New Zealand, the west coast cities of the United States, the desert landscapes of the United Arab Emirates, closer to home across the Irish Sea in the UK, and so many more places beyond – Waterfordians abroad are thinking of home.
This year, with travel restrictions due to Covid 19, it will be a particularly poignant Christmas as Waterfordians think of and yearn for the Déise, wishing they could be packing their bags in December for that flight home. Likewise, your families and friends here in Waterford miss you deeply as we get closer to Christmas.
In the Waterford News & Star’s Christmas Annual, the Festive Star we want to lift spirits through our Christmas Greetings from Abroad section. Show how much your Déise family and friends mean to you, no matter how many miles apart you might be, by sending in a photo and greeting for inclusion, and we will all toast a glass or two this Christmas to our Déise people at home and abroad.
If you want to appear in the 2020 Festive Star Christmas Greetings from Abroad send in your photos and greetings to one of the addresses below – perhaps you’ll even pose with last year’s Festive Star!
