PARENTS of children at Presentation Secondary School were informed today that “several staff members” were unable to attend school today due to being instructed by the HSE to restrict their movements.

The Waterford News & Star understands that the teachers  – reportedly more than 12 – were close contacts of a positive case and are all now working from home. School Principal Orla Bolger informed parents today that the teachers are still in contact with their students to ensure that “teaching and learning continues”.

The letter went on to say that there would be no classes on Wednesday, October 14 “due to a scheduled staff training day” and that normal classes would resume on October 15.
