FOLLOWING on from yesterday’s Yellow weather system warning from Met Éireann, an upgraded Orange weather system warning has been issued. From 5am tomorrow, Saturday October 31 until 10am, Storm Aiden will bring wind speeds of up to 80km/h. Met Éireann have advised that “severe and damaging gusts” of up to 130km/h should be expected.
The areas affected include Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork and Kerry. Those living in coastal areas are advised to take heed of the warning as high seas will be experienced.
Efforts should be made to tie down garden furniture, trampolines and to protect property.
