The big day has arrived. Waterford v Kilkenny in the All-Ireland SHC semi-final from Corke Park……..

FIVE MINUTES: WATERFORD 0-0 KILKIENNY 0-3: A fast start by the Cats, two TJ Reid frees and a point from play by Martin Keoghan

12 MINUTES: WATERFORD 0-3 KILKIENNY 1-4: Calum Lyons opens Waterford’s account and Jack Prendergast makes it two. But Cats hit back with a Richie Hogan point and a goal from Martin Keoghan. Stephen Bennett free for Waterford.

16 MINUTES: WATERFORD 0-3 KILKIENNY 1-5: Another TJ Reid extends Kilkenny’s advantage to five

FIRST WATER BREAK……Kilkenny well on top and on in front by five. Five Kilkenny wides to Waterford’s four…..

CHANGE FOR WATERFORD: Neil Montgomery for Jake Dillon

20 MINUTES: WATERFORD 0-4 KILKIENNY 1-5: A second point of the game by Ballyduff Lower’s Calum Lyons

30 MINUTES: WATERFORD 0-7 KILKIENNY 2-9: A Stephen Bennett free and a lovely point from play by Dessie Hutchinson. Two TJ Reid frees for the Cats.

HALF-TIME: WATERFORD 0-10 KILKIENNY 2-11: Kilkenny lead by seven at the break. The last three points of the opening half for the Déise were provided by Stephen Bennett. A beauty of a solo effort from play and two frees. The Cats hit back with a point from play by John Donnelly and one from a free by TJ Reid.
