ARE you a visual artist, writer, musician or performer from or living in Waterford City or
County? Are you making, developing or interpreting work at home? Do you require space to
develop, workshop and present your work? Do you require financial and technical support,
to progress your practice?
The Theatre Royal’s ‘Creative Shoots’ artist bursary scheme has been designed to offer
artists currently working at home, during lockdown, the physical, collaborative and financial
supports they need to help progress their work, amidst the challenges facing them as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Three artists will be selected for this scheme, each of whom will receive a €1,000 bursary to support them and their practice; be given time inside the Theatre Royal to develop and workshop their work with the support of the technical team, once current restrictions ease; work with the theatre team to shoot a 3-minute video presentation of their work, which will be screened this summer.
Who can apply?
The award is open to professional arts practitioners at any stage in their career. To be eligible to apply, applicants must be from or currently resident in Waterford City or County and be over 18 years of age.
