On the weekend when the Waterford senior hurlers return to action with their National Hurling League opener away to Cork in Pairc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday, the club players of Waterford will have their chance to get excited this evening as the 2021 Waterford GAA JJ Kavanagh & Sons Senior Hurling and Senior Football Championship draws will be made.
The draw takes place this evening, Friday May 7 at 5:45pm.

Of course Ballygunner, who collected their seventh News & Star Cup in a row last August, will be the team to beat/avoid in the hurling draw, while unusually the SFC draw will be made with no defending champions in the hat as the 2020 decider between Ballnacourty and 2019 champions, Rathgormack, has yet to be played.
We’ll have the full details of the draw on our website later tonight and of course in Tuesday’s Waterford News & Star.
