WATERFORD City and Dungarvan will hold outdoor concerts next weekend – August 14 and 15 – as part of the Anseo Festival.
Walton Park in Dungarvan will hold concerts in two tranches on Saturday next from 2 to 4:30pm and 7 to 9:30pm while the Millennium Plaza will hold gigs during the same time slots next Sunday.
Anseo Waterford, according to organisers, “has been created to celebrate and support local artists via live outdoor music event for those who love the Déise and its talent. Culture and local art will also be celebrated on a big screen, including works by GOMA artists, Supersonic Sand, Waterford Walls and more.”
There’ll be something for every musical genre, from brass band to pure pop, rocking rock, classics and trad. Among the acts taking part are Brass and Co, Gough, Clancy, Bracken & McCarthy (aka Danú), Mad Ferritt, Thank Funk, Toucan and Yung Shakur.
The event is limited to just 200 tickets for each performance and is being run in ‘pods’ of four with tickets being available now on www.Anseowaterford.com
