GARDAÍ in Waterford are investigating a criminal damage incident where a car was burnt out.  

The incident took place in Clonard Park around 2am on Tuesday morning, August 2. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Waterford Garda Station.  

Meanwhile, Gardaí are investigating an incident where a rock was thrown through a window of a car while it was parked in a carpark on Main St., Cappoquin, on Thursday, July 28, between 4.30pm and 5.45pm. A sum of cash was taken from the car. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who noticed anything to contact Cappoquin Garda Station. 

An alleged assault, which occurred on Saturday, July at around 4.40am is being investigated. Any member of the public, who was in the area at the time, is being asked to contact Waterford Gardaí or the Garda Confidential Line.  Similarly, any motorist, who has dashcam footage, is also being requested to contact Gardaí. 

A burglary at a house on New Street in Waterford city is also being investigated. The incident occurred between 1pm on Friday, July 22, and 12pm on Friday, July 29. A window at the side of the house was forced open to gain access. A sum of cash was taken.  

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the New Street area to contact them in Waterford Garda Station. 

Lastly, the theft of two canoes from a house in Ballyvoyle, Stradbally, is being investigated by Gardaí in Kilmacthomas. 

The canoes were in the garden when they were taken between 11pm on Thursday night and 7am on Friday morning, July 28-29.  

The first canoe is a one-person canoe and is green in colour, the second canoe is a two-person canoe and blue in colour.  

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Gardaí in Kilmacthomas.
