THE CAUSEWAY Group a leading full-service real estate investment, development and management organisation that also has a number of hospitality premises throughout Waterford and County including The Greenway Manor, Pinks Restaurant, Factory Nightclub, New York Coffee Dept and more, has submitted plans to Waterford City & County Council for an expansion to the Vault – a café/wine bar in the Apple Market.
The plan proposes an indefinite change of use of the former Bank of Ireland site to amalgamate with the existing Vault premises as a restaurant/ café. It also proposes the creation of a new roof terrace over the Vault Café and a new two-storey extension to the rear of both premises, the creation of a new bin store to the rear and covered outdoor seating areas to the front, side and rear of the newly formed premises, all with associated site development works.
Speaking to the Waterford News & Star, Sean Johnston from the Causeway Group said they were continuing to invest and “show confidence in Waterford City”.
“This is an incredibly difficult time for the hospitality industry with costs of everything rising uncontrollably,” Sean said. “Thankfully, the people of Waterford are continuing to support their pubs, clubs and restaurants and hopefully we can all ride this storm together. The Causeway Group has improved Waterford’s food and drink offering to help make the city and county a more attractive place to live and to visit and we will continue to do that. The development at the Vault in the Apple Market is really exciting and we think people will love it.”
