THE Dunhill Community Hall and Anne Valley Walk will be the destination for a brilliant new exhibition called “My Copper Coast”. Kicking off on Saturday, August 13, from 2pm to 5pm the free, multi-layered exhibition will feature workshops, art displays and a wide range of activities.

“My Copper Coast” is a celebration of one of Ireland’s most stunning stretches of coast line. It features a number of artists, each one viewing the Copper Coast through their unique and incredibly talented eyes. You’ll see art, illustrations and media on display in the Dunhill Community Hall. There will also be a selection of unique pottery, woodcraft and textiles, as well as a collection of art from the students of Dunhill National School.

The workshops will take place each weekend and include storytelling for children, beginners photography and plein-air painting.

The dates and times of the exhibition are as follows: Friday, August 19, and Saturday, August 26 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm; Saturday, August 13, 20 and 27 from 2pm to 5pm; Sunday, August 14, 21, 28 from 2pm to 5pm. Admission is free but as this is an event entirely run by volunteers, public donations would be much appreciated and if people would like to donate on the day, there will be donation boxes available, or if you would like to donate online, a Gofundme page will be made available.

The exhibition will be launched by Minister Mary Butler at an invite only event on Friday, August 12, from 6:30pm.
