VOTING is now open to the public for the Waterford News & Star Green Room People’s Choice Award. A shortlist of 10 has been put forward for public vote, after being chosen by the Waterford News & Star Green Room Awards adjudication panel, which included representatives of Waterford theatre and arts, and Waterford media personnel, with an in depth knowledge of the vibrant Waterford arts and culture scene in our city and county.
The judges included Pat McEvoy, Waterford News & Star Arts Correspondent, Mary Frances Ryan, Editor, Waterford News & Star, Geoff Harris, presenter of WLR FM’s On The Fringe arts and culture show and The Lunchbox, Michael Grant, board member of Garter Lane Arts Centre, and member of the Waterford Cultural Quarter committee, and Sarah Jane Cleary, Creative Spirit Ambassador for the Cultural Quarter.

Voting closes on Friday, February 24, at 12 noon.

The Waterford News & Star Green Room Awards take place in the Theatre Royal on Sunday, February 26 at 8pm. They are kindly supported by our lead sponsors Waterford City & County Council and Liberty Blue Estate Agents.
Including over 150 nominations, more than 30 awards will be presented on the night, across a broad spectrum of categories, encompassing Waterford’s diverse arts, theatre and cultural scene.
