A collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle occurred on the Cork Road on Saturday.

Gardaí in Waterford are continuing to investigate a road traffic collision that resulted in a pedestrian sustaining significant injuries.

The traffic collision, involving a pedestrian and a car, occurred on Saturday evening on the Cork Road in Waterford city, near McDonalds. Gardaí say the pedestrian is currently receiving treatment, while the driver of the car was uninjured.

Gardaí are appealing for those who witnessed the incident, involving a grey Volkswagen Golf, which was travelling towards Waterford at approximately 8pm, to contact Unit C at Waterford Garda Station on (051) 305300.
