Memory Stones, Clonea, Co Waterford by Ivan Daly (Oil on canvas 30x60cm, 2023)

COASTWAY ‘Fuaim na Farraige’ Waterford Impressions – a solo exhibition of new work in oil on canvas by Ivan Daly – will be opened by Dr Joe Moynihan at the Joan Clancy Gallery on Thursday, June 8 (7:30pm) and will continue from 11am to 5pm daily until June 24, including the weekends.

The elements at the core of Ivan’s work are the organic structures and the often sublime spaces of the coastal environment where explores its physical and charged states through loose and bold painting.

Dungarvan born Daly holds a Degree in Printmaking from Limerick School of Art & Design. After a brief time with Limerick Printmakers and years working in the computer industry, he re-orientated his practice towards painting.

His work forms part of important national and international collections.

He has exhibited at the RHA and RUA annual exhibitions, Singapore, and throughout Ireland and the UK. Daly was a contestant in Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2015. His exhibition in 2018 in Joan Clancy Gallery was an overwhelming success.

The Joan Clancy Gallery (Eircode: X35 YE83, www.joanclancygallery.com) is located in Mweelahorna, An Rinn in the Waterford Gaeltacht, overlooking Dungarvan Bay.
